At ishga, we’re immensely proud to share a little bit of Hebridean magic with skincare lovers across the world. Natural really is best, and our product range is not only kind to your skin, it also keeps it healthy, youthful and radiant, thanks to the abundance of antioxidants and other wonderful, natural ingredients.

As consumers, we’re constantly bombarded by clever advertising that promises to transform us, with some even claiming to ‘fix’ overnight! An attractive price tag might catch our eye, and it can be tempting to try new trends as they come and go, but we believe investing in high-quality natural formulas and maintaining a consistent skincare routine really is the only way to achieve long-term, effective results.

We’re very lucky to have our headquarters on the beautiful Isle of Lewis. On a sunny day, the island looks stunning, but it’s often turbulent, and changing weather patterns give it a mystical quality too.

Lewis is part of the Outer Hebrides, a series of islands located off the west coast of Scotland. The islands used to be much more isolated and relied on the ocean to sustain small communities. They’re also steeped in unique myths and legends and we thought you might like to hear about some of them.

This week we’d like to tell you about some of the exciting things that are happening for ishga right now. From humble beginnings in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, we’re now seeing demand for our seaweed skincare right across the world. It’s wonderful to see, and we’re so grateful.

We’d like to tell you more about the special ingredients in this little jar of natural goodness. At ishga, we fondly refer to our Anti-oxidant Marine Cream as our ‘hero product’ and for good reason. It’s one of our earliest creations, painstakingly developed by our team of scientists, and loved by customers worldwide.

This week, we’d like to introduce you to Isla MacKenzie, a 27-year old from Stornoway on the Island of Lewis, who now lives in Oxfordshire and works in Formula 1 as a Technician, testing engines for Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains.

At ishga we’re very lucky to live on a beautiful island with some of the most beautiful, unspoiled beaches in the world. On a hot summer’s day, it’s simply paradise. There’s no doubt about it, we look forward to long, summer days when we can peel off layers, and enjoy the sunshine.

This week, we’d like to introduce you to someone very special from Stornoway, on the Island of Lewis. 23-year old Kara Hanlon is an extremely talented swimmer, and one of Scotland’s most promising sporting talents.

Tuesday 8^th June is World Oceans Day. It’ll be no surprise that at ishga, we’re incredibly passionate about the ocean, how important it is, and about its unique ability to heal and rejuvenate. Like many other people around the world, our livelihoods depend on it, and so today we hope you’ll join us to celebrate.

The ocean is what makes ishga products special. Our beautiful golden sands and turquoise waters are breathtaking, and our remote location means that the clear water and the plantlife that grows there is so abundant in vitamins and minerals, that it makes an amazing difference to your skin.

April is stress awareness month, and has been for the past 29 years, since 1992. Today, it’s fair to say, we’re more stressed than ever, with busy, demanding lives and a global pandemic just to add to the load. We’re surrounded by noise that commands our constant attention and instant reaction, and unless we make a conscious effort to recognise the stress in our lives, our mental and physical health will suffer.
